What is Orientation?
Answer: Orientation is your official introduction to EKU—where you learn what to expect, connect with campus resources, and prepare for a successful start.
Is Orientation required?
Answer: Yes. Orientation is required for all incoming New First Time Freshmen (you have not attended another college after high school), so you’re ready for advising, registration, and your first semester expectations.
When is Orientation?

Answer: Register using the Orientation Registration buttons above.
How long is Orientation?
Answer: Orientation is a full-day experience. Your confirmation message will include the specific start/end time for your selected date. Plan to be on campus from about 8:30 am to 3:00 pm.
What will I do during Orientation?
Answer: You’ll review next steps, meet staff, learn about resources, complete advising/registration activities, and meet students who are in your major and residence hall.
Will I register for classes during Orientation?
Answer: Yes. You’ll receive guidance on scheduling with a pre-made schedule and may make updates during or shortly after Orientation, depending on your student type.
